Photos are only on one side of the display which provides flexibility in configuring the exhibit against walls as well as back to back and diamond shapes. Audio boxes for the sound sticks are on the back of the panel.
There are also 2 didactic panels (describing the exhibit and recognizing the sponsors). Inquiry cards can be left in the acrylic box adjacent to the panels.
As children are matched or adopted, ribbons are placed on their photos indicating their status. Photos are presented to the families at finalization and families are offered the opportunity to be photographed as a family.
The exhibit needs to be placed in an area of adequate lighting with access to electricity. It can be assembled in a variety of configurations depending on the venue. The Heart Gallery curator will map out the exhibit for each venue's approval. The gallery can be broken up into smaller groupings and exhibited in different areas of the same venue or split between 2 venues. The exhibit run is generally 4-6 weeks at each venue.
