Your Children's Board is a countywide agency that uses dedicated property tax revenue to promote the health, safety and well being of our community's most precious resource - our children. Currently, the Board manages a budget of $30 million and funds more than 70 organizations that provide prevention and early intervention services for children and families throughout Hillsborough County.

While serving youth of all ages in our community, the Children's Board focuses on children from birth to age 8 to provide healthy development through infanthood and the early school years.

By concentrating on children early in life, the Board can offer an umbrella of coverage on vital initiatives such as promoting healthy births, improving school readiness, and achieving early school success. Visit us online at www.childrensboard.org

Hillsborough Kids, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors who represent the Hillsborough community in developing and overseeing more than 4,700 children in the child protection system of care. The Foster Home and Adoption Network (FhAN) of seven agencies is solely focused on the recruitment, licensure, and training of our foster and adoptive homes.

Through this established network of vested agencies and community leaders, Hillsborough Kids, Inc. assumes the leadership, risk, and accountability for services to abused and neglected children in Hillsborough County.

Their goals include reducing the average length of stay for children in the child welfare system, increasing adoptions and the number of available foster home placements, and meeting or exceeding the state standards for safety.

Hillsborough Kids, Inc.'s mission is to ensure the safety and permanency of children and families in Hillsborough County by strengthening and redesigning the child protection system where families and the community are partners in the intervention and service provision.

Giving children hope. Giving children love. Giving children a chance. That's the essence of our mission at The Children's Home. We give children opportunities to achieve what they deserve-the chance to be successful, valued, and respected in safe and nurturing families. For more than 112 years, children victimized by abuse and families at risk of separation have found the care they need through our programs and services. Within our care, thousands of children receive everything they need, from counseling to nutritious meals, to help them overcome the pain of their past. Families rely on our professional and compassionate staff to help them through difficult times.

As a trusted leader and advocate for children and families, The Children's Home has helped nurture more than 25,000 children and found adoptive homes for more than 6,000 children.

The Children's Home envisions a community where all children are safe and free to pursue a happy childhood in caring and loving families. Visit us online at www.childrenshome.org.
